Cruising...

Cruise ships are regular visitors to the Port of Calais.

Facilities available ensure that time spent ashore is used to best possible effect and due to the Port's favourable geographical position interesting day excursions can be arranged.

Using the TGV high speed train service direct from Calais Frethun passengers can expect to arrive in Paris or Brussels after a journey time of just 90 minutes. Even more accessible is the Cote d'Opale which only a few kilometres from the Port provides high quality landscapes and sea views. Caps Blanc Nez and Gris Nez are especially popular as vantage points from which to observe the movement of cross Channel traffic and the Kent and Sussex coastlines.

Travellers with a liking for art and architecture can make the journey to Bruges, in Belgium, in less than 2 hours from Calais by bus.
