The quays of the Port of Calais are directly connected to the European motorway network by means of two aeroroutes. The A26 (Calais-Dijon) serves the centre of France and provides access to Southern Europe avoiding Paris. For its part the A16 feeds into the Benelux and Northern Europe motorway systems.
