- ECOPORTS certification process launched by the CCIC in January 2008
- 2008/2009 study on possible means of feeding electricity to docked ships. Port lighting :
- Under the above-ground car park and canopy: 96 searchlights will be replaced, 80 others will be removed because of inefficiency,
- Lighting the Harbour Master's Office area: installation of 9 towers with asymmetrical searchlights,
- Lighting the Port East access area: installation of 26 towers,
- Carnot Basin: 2 new heaves will be installed and 2 others replaced.
- Installation in the port precinct of solar Variable Message Signs.
