Optimisation of lighting :
  • In the CCIC buildings: installation of energy-saving fluorescent lighting,
  • At the port: following a photometric study carried out in 2006, the following work was carried out :
    • out of 135 existing concrete heaves: 8 were replaced and 66 repaired,
    • the entire marina lighting setup was refitted: in addition to the new heaves and of new searchlights, lanterns were installed.

The lanterns are used according to season and location: they give off less light, and therefore consume less energy.

An invitation to tender is currently underway for:

  • the replacement of the glass in 550 searchlights out of a total 750 existing symmetrical searchlights, installation of striated glass for a better distribution of luminous power.
  • The installation of 13 asymmetrical searchlights, a type of equipment that offers more diffuse light, reducing wasted lighting.

Optimisation of combustion systems

  • boilers: adjustment of the boiler cascade to save energy by spreading out power.
  • installation of reversible air-conditioning (can switch from heat to cold air).
