| The CCIC environment brigade has the task of collecting waste in designated areas and keeping a register specifying the tonnage of the waste by type and location. The waste is then treated and eliminated by approved companies. |

| Collection and sorting of ship waste - MARPOL point |
| Within the framework of the International Convention for the prevention of pollution from ships of 02/11/1973, a MARPOL point was set up at the Port of Calais. |
| Colour labels are distributed to ship captains according to the type of waste aboard. The various bin bags are labelled are collected and deposited in skips reserved for each type of waste : |
Orange label: food waste
Yellow label: plastic packaging
Green label: other waste
No label : glass |

| Paper bins are placed at each CCIC hub office for the recycling of sheets of paper, jackets, envelopes, newspapers, catalogues. |

| Common industrial waste (DIB), paper/cardboard, metals, wood, glass, plastic, etc. |

| Oils, solvents, fluorescent and neon tubes, lamps, aerosol cans, batteries, medical waste, soiled textiles, consumables, etc. |
